EARLY SESSION (Redpoint Round)

  If you consistently climb V7 or higher and would like a shot at the final round (Open Category), you must register in the AM session.

LATE SESSION (Redpoint Round)

• 1:15 pm - Check in

• 1:50pm - Competitor Meeting

• 2pm-5pm: Competition

RECREATIONAL, INTERMEDIATE , & ADVANCE SCORES & AWARDS

• Approx 5:30pm

OPEN FINALS (Onsight Round)

• 5:45pm - Finalists enter ISO

• 6pm - Finals Begin

We’ll host two divisions: male+nonbinary and female+nonbinary.

In each division there are four categories;

• Recreational: VFun-V3

• Intermediate: V4-V6

• Advanced: v7+

• Open: Climbers looking to compete in the board finals and climb V7+ (You must compete in the AM session to qualify.)

Each climber will be placed in a category based on score.

Climbers competing in the Open category will designate that on their scorecard.

All categories will compete in one of two redpoint rounds.

Redpoint competition, means you can try boulders multiple times. Your score will be the sum of your (5) most difficult completed problems in the allotted time.

Record which climbs you complete and how many attempts it takes you to send.

Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each division in the Recreational, Intermediate, and Advanced categories. Results will be announced for both sessions at approx 5:30pm.

Top 6 competitors from both divisions, in the open category will compete for a cash purse in a finals round taking place on our training boards.

At Ascent, we’re all about building a welcoming and inclusive climbing community. Our gendered categories are open to anyone who identifies with or feels most comfortable competing in that group—whether you’re cis, trans, non-binary, or just here to crush. Choose the category that feels best for you.

After both qualifying rounds there will be a redpoint finals. This round will take place on the adjustable boards in our fitness center.

The top 6 climbers in the open category, in both divisions, will qualify for the finals and compete for the cash prizes.

Men’s will take place on the Decoy Board (45 degrees) and Women’s will take place on the Kilter Board (45 degrees).
