Membership Terms & Conditions

We like to keep things simple–with straightforward, no-commitment membership contracts after the first month, but there’s a few things we need you to know.

This page is updated to provide information about current membership terms and conditions at Ascent. Please carefully review the membership agreement and let us know if you have any questions before enrolling in a membership.

Auto Renew Memberships

Auto renew memberships will renew forever, or until cancelled via our online Update Membership Form.

Signing this agreement authorizes Ascent to store and charge your credit card for monthly or weekly membership dues as indicated in the membership title.

  • Cancellation, holds and other membership updates must be requested via the Update Membership form found on our website at https://ascentclimbinggym.com/update-membership

  • No other means of cancellation request or membership update request will be accepted.

  • Cancellation requests must be received 24 hours before regular billing occurs, otherwise cancellation will take effect on the subsequent billing cycle.

  • I agree that cancellation is solely my responsibility and waive any right to refund of membership dues I have paid prior to cancellation, regardless of the reason.

  • ASCENT DOES NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS FOR NON-USE OF MEMBERSHIP OR FAILURE TO CANCEL.

  • Memberships are non-transferable.

  • Weekly memberships can only be cancelled after the 4th billing cycle (4 week commitment is required).

Auto Renew Membership Hold Fees

Auto renew memberships may be placed on hold for leaves greater than 10 days, for a fee. During the approved membership hold period, regular dues will not be charged. However, by signing this agreement you are authorizing Ascent to charge the following hold fees plus applicable taxes. Hold fees will be assessed on your membership renewal date at the following rates:

  • Monthly Auto Renew Memberships - $8/month

  • Weekly Auto Renew Memberships - $2/week

Membership holds are not available on Prepaid or Fitness Center memberships.

Hold requests must be received 24 hours in advance, via the Update Membership request form found at ascentclimbinggym.com. No other means of hold request will be accepted.

2025 Hold Fees Waived - Calendar

Many in our community travel during academic breaks, so we’ll waive startup fees during the following periods:

  • Winter Break: January 1–12

  • Spring Break: March 8–23

  • Summer Break: May 8–August 26

  • Autumn Break: October 10–19

  • Thanksgiving Break: November 21–30

  • Winter Break 2025/26: December 20–January 12, 2026

Family Membership Policy

Ascent may offer a discounted family membership rate for immediate family members living in the same household. Family Add On pricing is only valid along with an active, full priced membership enrolled in an All Access, Auto Renew Membership at $95/mo.

If the initial full price paying member is to freeze or cancel their membership, then any associated discounted family membership rates will no longer be valid, and those memberships will be restored to their full price per month at the start of the next billing cycle.

Prepaid Memberships

Prepaid memberships will be given a start and end date at the time of activation. Duration is indicated in the title of the membership product. These memberships do not renew automatically without the consent of the member. Only prepaid memberships with a duration of 3 months or greater can be placed on hold, fees apply.

Punch Passes

Discounted, prepaid day passes with no expiration. Can be shared with visitors with consent from the Punch Pass holder. Sales final, no refunds for non-use.

Limited Fitness Center Memberships

A limited access membership granting access to fitness center, sauna, and locker rooms only. Classes and climbing areas not included. Fitness center members must check in before 3pm, Monday through Friday. There are currently no access restrictions on weekends.

Membership Holds [Prepaid Memberships]

Membership holds are not available for Prepaid or Limited Fitness Center memberships.

Terms May Change

This Agreement and the terms thereof are subject to change from time to time. Your continued use of the Ascent facilities and payment of your membership dues constitutes acceptance of and agreement to those terms, as revised.

Contact Information

The member agrees to provide and maintain accurate contact information for your account and acknowledge that it is your responsibility to promptly update Ascent with any changes. You also authorize Ascent to communicate account-related information including billing, membership details, updates to terms and conditions, and other account information via the contact information you provide–typically in writing by email.
