Calling all volunteers for a day of service with Ascent NHV, Ragged Mountain Foundation and Access Fund at West Rock State Park in New Haven, CT.
Help take care of a beloved local crag — and demonstrate that climbers are responsible users of State natural resources.

WHAT
Planned service projects include:
Trash pickup along roads, trails, the ballfield, river, etc.
Trail maintenance: clipping overgrowth, spreading woodchips, covering up redundant trails, demarcating climber trails, etc
Graffiti removal and prevention
WHAT TO BRING
We'll provide tools and garbage bags.
Please bring gloves, snacks, water, any important medications, and a helmet (for work at the crag). We’ll have both light and heavy-duty tasks and projects.

WARNING
Trail work can involve strenuous activity, heavy lifting, and walking on uneven, loose, or slippery terrain. Working outdoors also means exposure to environmental hazards including heat, sun, inclement weather, and poisonous insects, plants, and animals.
We offer tasks of varying intensity — choose what fits your ability, and don't hesitate to ask questions.
